SSH-native
SFTP, SCP, rsync and Borg on port 23, plus a restricted shell for ls, cp, mv, du and checksums.
Keys or password
Choose a password when you order, and add SSH keys from your dashboard any time.
IP allow-list
Limit logins to your own addresses. Checked before the password is even asked for.
Snapshots
Take them yourself or on a schedule: 10 to 40 per box by size. Browse and copy files back, or revert the whole box.
Transfer included
Monthly transfer equal to your box size (up to 5 TB). Past it the box slows down — it is never cut off.
Isolated
Each box sees only its own files. No other customer, and nothing else on the machine, is reachable from it.
Mirrored drives
Every file is on two drives in the western US. If one fails, your box keeps working while it is replaced.
Grow any time
Move to a larger box from the dashboard; the extra space is there within a minute.
Simple billing
Monthly, or prepay 3, 6 or 12 months for a lower rate. Cancel any time from Billing.
Somewhere off your own machines to keep things: nightly server backups, a laptop's backup, a copy of a NAS, media and archives. You reach it over SSH, so it works with the backup tools you already use.
Anything that speaks SFTP or rsync over SSH: Borg, restic, rclone, Kopia, Duplicati, rsync and scp on the command line, or WinSCP, FileZilla and Cyberduck on the desktop.
Your box slows down to 2 Mbit/s for the rest of the month. It is never cut off, nothing extra is charged, and the allowance resets on the 1st.
On a RAID 1 mirror in the western United States, so a failed drive does not take your box offline or lose your files. As with most storage boxes, we do not keep a separate backup of what you store. The box is usually the backup; for anything irreplaceable, keep one more copy somewhere else.
Yes. Take one from the dashboard or set a daily, weekly or monthly schedule. A box holds 10 snapshots on 1 TB, 20 on 2 TB, 30 on 5 TB and 40 on 10 TB. Snapshots live inside your box and count toward its space; you can browse them, copy files back, or revert the whole box to one.
Yes, from your dashboard, at any time. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period, and the extra space and transfer are there within a minute. Your files, password and keys stay as they are.
Yes, from Billing at any time: at the end of the period you have paid for, or straight away. Cancelling straight away deletes the box and its files.
